WINGS (MAKE 2)

Turn the body horizontally, with the eyes facing you. With C, pick up and knit 8 stitches, placed 4 stitches back from the arms, and spanning the 2 middle sections of A. Pick up stitches so that the knit side faces forward ( and ).

To begin making a wing, you will pick up and knit 8 stitches at the back of the Bee’s body. For the Bee’s right wing, turn the body so that it faces you, with the eyes on the right.

For the Bee’s left wing, turn the body so that it faces you, with the eyes on the left.

You will work these stitches straight.

ROW 1: Turn and purl.

ROW 2: K1, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k1 (6 sts).

ROW 3: Purl.

ROW 4: [K2tog] 3 times (3 sts).

Break yarn and draw tightly through the stitches with a tapestry needle.
